Being 35 weeks pregnant, I've officially entered full-on nesting mode for my baby girl! It's such an exciting, yet sometimes overwhelming, time. This was a big one for me. I spent an afternoon washing all the baby bottles and accessories by hand in a white basin with soapy water. It felt like a rite of passage! After everything was sparkling clean, I set up our organized baby feeding supplies on the kitchen counter. We have a bottle drying rack, clear storage containers for formula or snacks, and our bottle warmer all in one spot. Having everything easily accessible is going to be a lifesaver during those late-night feeds. Next, her wardrobe! I absolutely loved going through all the adorable tiny outfits. Our baby's closet features shelves filled with beautifully folded clothes, hanging outfits, and storage bins for smaller items like socks and hats. We also have boxes of diapers neatly stacked, ready to go. I tried to organize everything by size, which I hear is a game-changer as they grow so fast. It's a mix of sweet pinks and neutral tones, and it just melts my heart seeing it all. Beyond the physical preparations, I've also been thinking about the practical checklists. It’s easy to get lost in the overwhelming amount of baby gear. My advice? Start with the absolute essentials: a safe sleep space, feeding supplies, diapers, and a handful of comfortable outfits. Then, gradually add things as you go or as you realize you need them. Don't feel pressured to buy everything at once! Creating a simple checklist for myself helped me stay focused and not get bogged down by all the options. This nesting phase has been a mix of excitement, prayer, and a lot of happy tears. It’s more than just preparing a physical space; it’s about preparing my heart and mind for the biggest adventure of my life.
