Plant Care Tips!!🌱
Happy Spring!
I finally got around to repotting my Bird of Paradise, and she is thriving! • Anytime I repot, I make sure to give her a little extra love-water, patience, and, of course, some plant food to help her settle in.
I swear by @Miracle-Gro's liquid plant food!
It soaks into the soil so much better, and my indoor plants eat it up. If you've been neglecting your plants... consider this your sign to give them a little love today!

Seeing my Bird of Paradise thrive after repotting always puts a huge smile on my face! It really got me thinking about all the other amazing indoor plants we can cultivate to bring life and beauty into our homes. Beyond just repotting and feeding, there's a whole world of plant care that can help turn your living space into a lush oasis, even if you're new to it! If you're wondering which indoor plants are right for you, it often comes down to your space and how much light you have. For example, if you're dreaming of adding some color, there are some absolutely gorgeous flowers to plant indoors that can brighten up any room. I've had great luck with African Violets, which love bright, indirect light and consistent, but not overbearing, moisture. Orchids are another stunning option; they might seem intimidating, but once you get their watering schedule down and give them a good orchid-specific mix, they can bloom for months! Peace Lilies are also fantastic – they not only give you beautiful white flowers but are also excellent air purifiers. For those who prefer lush foliage, there are countless beautiful green plant varieties that are pretty easy to care for. Think about classics like a vibrant Pothos, which can trail beautifully from a shelf, or a majestic Monstera, which instantly adds a tropical jungle vibe. Snake Plants and ZZ Plants are practically indestructible, making them perfect for beginners or anyone with a busy schedule. They tolerate a wide range of conditions and are super forgiving if you forget to water them occasionally. Now, let's talk about those tricky spots. If you have a room that doesn't get much natural sunlight, don't despair! There are fantastic dark room low light indoor plants that can still flourish. Again, Snake Plants and ZZ Plants are superstars here. Pothos also do remarkably well in lower light, though their variegation might be less pronounced. The Cast Iron Plant truly lives up to its name, tolerating very deep shade and neglect. While "low light" doesn't mean "no light" (they still need some ambient brightness!), these plants are truly resilient. I've found that rotating them occasionally, even just once a month, can help ensure even growth. And just like my Bird of Paradise, all these plants benefit immensely from a consistent feeding schedule. That's where a good LIQUID plant food comes in! It’s quickly absorbed by the roots, delivering essential nutrients exactly where they're needed. I usually aim to feed my plants every 2-4 weeks during their active growing season (spring and summer), and less frequently in fall and winter. Watching them perk up and grow new leaves after a good feed is incredibly rewarding. It's truly one of the 'secrets' to keeping my plants not just alive, but truly thriving and happy!
