Date someone who LIKES you ♥️

Personally, I know I’ve dated guys who I thought I loved and thought the love was reciprocated back to me. But I couldn’t have been more wrong 😑 It wasn’t until I started dating someone who ACTUALLY showed me genuine love and care and nurtured me mentally that I realized I wasn’t being loved I was being played and accepting less than the bare minimum.

Like… get this… ⬇️

• 🥤I have a hard time even asking the guys I’ve dated to buy me a can of Coca Cola, sad right? I know. I would give them money if they ask and spoil them with gifts but it was never reciprocated. 🤦🏽‍♀️ and I’m not even materialistic but come on…

• 🗣️I also have a hard time verbalizing something that bothers me and it takes me time to do so. With past guys I was always rushed and felt like I wasn’t heard, having to constantly repeat myself on the same topic on multiple occasions while being brushed off or called “Annoying” or gaslit. I’m now with someone who lets me take as much time as I need to verbalize what is on my mind ( even while he’s on the toilet 😂) and actually wants me to ask him to get me stuff. Lol, he even has me practice asking because I literally cannot ask and he doesn’t want me to buy him anything although I still do. 🤭

• I’m the one always spending my money to go see a guy wherever he lives but get treated like a stranger once I’m there. But this guy is saving up to come see me, planning the dates and actually has intent. ✈️

• Past guys either didn’t show me off or never stated clear intentions. This new guy calls me his wife, talks about our future, introduced me to his friends and his family members! ( Eeek! 😛)

• I’m going through a lot ( aren’t we all ) health wise and although I’m a happy person, I have my very sad days, weeks and months where I rather not talk to a soul. I climb into my shell and want to disappear into oblivion. It takes me the whole day to muster myself up to shower or eat a meal, I rather sit in bed and sleep or watch Netflix. This guy understands that and will stay on the phone ALL DAY with me even while he’s at work and let me be… still. In limbo. Until IM READY. He listens to everything I have to say. I’ve never cried to a guy so much about so many things before and he listens and consoles me so well. Again… never realized I couldn’t do that with past relationships.

So ladies, please date people that actually LIKE YOU. That respect and want to nurture your body, soul and mind. ♥️ #letschat #blackgirldating #relationships #unfiltered #Lemon8Diary #datingadvice

... Read moreIn the landscape of modern dating, understanding the value of mutual respect and affection is crucial. When seeking a romantic partner, many individuals often overlook the significance of being with someone who genuinely cares for them. Instead of settling for relationships that thrive on miscommunication and unreciprocated efforts, it’s essential to recognize the qualities of a fulfilling bond. For instance, consider how attentive communication can enhance your emotional well-being; having a partner who listens and validates your feelings makes a profound difference. Furthermore, shared intentions and mutual support can be vital indicators of a healthy relationship. When looking for a partner, seek someone who shows interest not only in you but also in your life challenges. A partner who acknowledges your struggles, understands your need for space when overwhelmed, and prioritizes your emotional health is invaluable. They are the ones who make an effort to meet you halfway, planning dates and investing time and energy in the relationship. Moreover, consider how your partner introduces you to their circle. Public acknowledgment of your relationship can signify a commitment that many people desire yet often overlook. If your partner openly expresses future intentions and includes you in their life events, it indicates that they view you as an integral part of their future. Finally, let this be a reminder: in dating, never underestimate the value of emotional support. Genuine affection and understanding can help navigate the ups and downs of life. Surround yourself with those who uplift you, respect you, and are emotionally available. Ultimately, the right partner not only enhances your life but also contributes to your growth and happiness.

I think the most important thing to acknowledge when dating anyone is that it can’t be forced. I hate how much content these days about dating is all about playing games and using tricks and tactics. at the end of the day if it’s not gonna work with someone, you can’t force it. that being said, if

Sometimes God lets you date the wrong person - not to punish you, but to prepare you.
He lets you see what love is not, so you'll recognize what it is. He lets you feel the weight of compromise, so you'll value alignment. He lets you taste heartbreak, so you'll learn dependence on Him. The wrong person can still point you to the right lessons. #relatable #christiantiktok
