Wow, it’s truly wild to think that just eight months ago, my life was so different. After 26 years of navigating the world as a single woman, finding my first boyfriend has been an absolute dream come true. For anyone out there who might feel like they’re ‘behind’ or that their time will never come, I want to share a bit about my journey and what I’ve learned. Being single for so long wasn't always easy. There were moments of loneliness, sure, but also a lot of self-discovery and independence. When we finally met, it felt so natural, like slotting into a missing piece I didn’t even know was gone. Now, at the eight-month mark, it feels like we’ve reached such a comfortable and loving stage. It's a reminder that even if there's a language barrier, love transcends words. It shows up in actions, in effort, and in those little notes that say, 'I love you, I appreciate you, and I’m blessed to have you.' For anyone just starting their relationship journey or perhaps feeling a bit stuck, my biggest takeaway is to be patient with yourself and with the process. Love truly finds you when you least expect it, and sometimes, the best things are worth waiting for. Every relationship progresses at its own pace, but cherishing the milestones, big or small, makes the journey so much richer.
