2024 has been a shiiiit year…
I can’t even lie, this year has been rough. I’ve isolated myself from people more than ever. Im a singer and songwriter but due to me being ill and in and out the hospital all year, my voice changed a bit and I just lost the passion to even bother opening my mouth to sing a tune. I’ve had a stomach stimulator surgically placed, my appetite has reduced so much that I’ve lost almost 20 pounds in the past couple of months… we talk about LOSING weight but not how hard it is to GAIN sometimes.
I want to start school again but can’t because I owe like $5k in student loans so they’re holding my transcript.
I haven’t gone out ANYWHERE this year. Like at all. Just to the grocery store, hospital, book store and maybe the movies a couple times. I always found out I’m allergic to 🍃 last month lol it’s called CHS. Wow right?!
My birthday is tomorrow, November 4th and I’m not excited. My closest friends live in different states, I was too sick to travel with them since me and one of them were born two days apart. My boyfriend lives in another country. I haven’t hugged anyone other than my mom and brother all year.
I’m hungry but again, no appetite. My hairs not done. Maybe I’m sad af today ( usually I’m okay, my boyfriend and me stay on the phone all day everyday lol) because I’m on my period ( OH! Also on my period on my birthday and my cramps are horrible 😂) but idec. My friends are more excited for my birthday than me.
I keep getting hassled about not calling, texting people and being MIA and introverted and nobody is understanding WHY. They’re not asking “are you okay?” Just mad and being petty cause I’m not calling when I’m not obligated to talk to a soul. Im not craving human interaction through a screen I’m craving human, friendship interaction in person.
Now, tonight as I’m trying to get back into my writing bag because my voice is getting stronger ( I’ve been practicing), my laptop completely shut tf down. Won’t come on lol ALL my lyrics ( over 120) are on there. So yeah I’m just pretty tired. I’m always grateful because I could be dead tbh because my health was pretty bad this year, but I’m also trying to allow myself to feel my feelings. I’ll probably cry to my boyfriend later when he wakes up. But for now I’ll go make some tea, eat my coconut cookies and listen to sad music cause ✨ IM JUST A GIRL ✨.
I’ll also be 27 years old, and I’m just sick lol I haven’t gotten to travel as much as I want to, im scared my boyfriends parents ( when he introduces me) are gonna be like “what do you do?” I’m gonna say nothing cause well… got sick in school and couldn’t finish. I don’t want him doing everything on his own forever and he wants to give everything to me so bad… sigh.
Anyway, Monica signing out ✌🏽🩷 #2024struggle #Lemon8Diary #relatable #latenightvibes #confessions
2024 has proven to be a tough year for many, including those battling health issues and feeling disconnected. It’s important to address mental health and seek support from friends, even if they’re far away. This year, many have grappled with unexpected challenges like navigating allergies, such as cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS), resulting in lifestyle changes. Additionally, financial burdens, like student loans, hold individuals back from pursuing education or career goals, increasing the sense of frustration and isolation. Realizing the need for human connection is vital as we find ourselves craving authentic interactions rather than virtual ones. It’s crucial to allow ourselves to feel these emotions, recognizing that it’s okay to seek help and engage with supportive communities. Sharing personal experiences can foster connection and remind others they’re not alone in their journey. Investigating shared struggles may yield valuable insights into resilience, personal growth, and the importance of self-care. This encompasses the necessity of finding joy in small moments, like enjoying favorite treats or practicing hobbies that reignite passion. Many are not simply seeking attention; they’re in dire need of understanding and empathy. As we approach the end of 2024, let us embrace vulnerability and keep moving forward together.
