こたつ天板のリメイクって、雰囲気が一気に変わる反面「熱でベタベタしない？」「跡が残らない？」が一番不安でした。私も最初は、はがせるリメイクシート（壁紙タイプ）で“白っぽく”イメチェンしたのですが、端が少し浮いてきたのをきっかけに、1ヶ月でいったん撤去。結果的にベタつきはなく、きれいにはがせてホッとしました。 ここからは、同じように「こたつ板（天板）をリメイクしたい」人向けに、やってみて分かったコツをまとめます。 1) リメイクシートを貼る前の下準備 ・天板の汚れや油分を落としてから貼ると、浮きにくさが全然違います。 ・角やフチは特に浮きやすいので、貼った直後にしっかり圧着。数日後にもう一度押さえ直すのもおすすめです。 2) 養生テープは“相性チェック”が大事 「リメイクシート＋養生テープ」で仮止めする方法も見かけますが、粘着が強いとテープ跡が残ることも。目立たない場所で短時間テストしてから使うと安心でした。 3) 100均でこたつ天板DIYするなら“短期運用”が気楽 100均のリメイクシートは手軽で、模様替えには最高。ただ、こたつ天板は温度変化があるので、長期で貼りっぱなしにするより「ワンシーズンごとに見直す」くらいが気持ち的にもラクでした。 4) 白マット系が好きなら、耐熱テーブルマットも選択肢 私が次に選んだのは、サイズぴったりで届く耐熱のテーブルマット。MAX85℃耐熱だと、あたたまる天板でも不安が減りました。届いた直後の丸まりや開封跡は1〜2日で落ち着き、浮きもズレもほぼなし。マットな質感で、マグカップを置くときの当たりがやさしいのも地味に良かったです。 5) サイズの考え方（例：105×75） 天板サイズが105×75みたいに定番でも、角の丸みやフチの形で“実寸”が微妙に違うことがあります。購入前に、メジャーで縦横＋角の丸み（R）をざっくり測っておくと失敗しにくいです。 リメイクシートは貼りやすくて達成感もあるし、気分転換には本当に◎。でも「熱」「端の浮き」「長期の不安」が気になる人は、耐熱テーブルマットで“敷くだけリメイク＋傷予防”に切り替えるのもアリだと思いました。
