Summer is the perfect time to indulge in savory snacks, and elote (Mexican street corn) and esquite (corn in a cup) are favorites that are hard to resist. Both dishes celebrate the flavors of fresh corn, typically garnished with lime, cheese, chili powder, and creamy sauces. Elote is often grilled on the cob, while esquite is served cut off the cob in a cup, making it a convenient option for on-the-go enjoyment. The addition of Cheetos creates a crunchy texture and an unexpected flavor twist that many find irresistible! It's easy to customize these snacks; you can add your favorite spices or toppings to make them uniquely yours. For those looking for healthier alternatives, consider trying air-popped corn mixed with spices or homemade roasted chickpeas. These options satisfy the desire for a crunchy snack while being kinder to your body. What are your go-to savory snacks during the hot summer months?
