straightening hair
i wanna start straightening my hair, been tired of the frizz. my sister has a flat iron and my mom has a blow dryer that has different heads (brush, curler, etc). i’m gonna try and use my moms stuff because i heard flat iron does more damage to the hair.
any other tips?
Straightening hair can transform your look, but it’s essential to do it safely to maintain your hair health. To start, always prep your hair with a heat protectant spray to minimize damage. If you’re using a flat iron, choose one with ceramic plates as they distribute heat evenly and reduce the risk of burning your hair. When blow-drying, opt for a nozzle attachment to focus the airflow where you need it most; this not only helps in straightening but also adds a polished finish. Furthermore, consider using a round brush while blow-drying for more control, which can achieve that smooth, straight appearance while reducing frizz. Lastly, try to limit the use of heat tools to a few times a week and incorporate deep conditioning treatments into your routine to keep your strands healthy and vibrant.
