Not on my bingo card

didn’t have @newsweek covering my IVF story on my bingo card

to hear a journalist tell me “no one is talking about the aftermath in media” was really hard because I know there are so many women suffering in silence

so let this be our inspiration to no longer stay silent about what can be very real pain for women going through/or have gone through IVF

The physical toll is often immense, but what strikes me more is the emotional aftermath—feelings of isolation, anxiety, and silent suffering. Many women experience grief when treatments don’t result in pregnancy, or when the process overwhelms their daily lives. One thing that stood out in my experience and in the stories shared within the #ivfcommunity is the lack of open dialogue about what happens after IVF cycles conclude. Media coverage often focuses on success stories or the medical procedures but rarely addresses the mental health struggles and the long recovery period emotionally and physically. It's crucial to bring these conversations into the light to dismantle stigma and create a support network where women feel empowered to share their stories without judgment. The hashtags #ivfstrongertogether and #ivfjourney represent this united voice, showing solidarity and resilience. Support groups, both online and offline, offer a safe space to discuss the realities and complexities of infertility treatments. For anyone beginning or contemplating IVF, understanding the full journey—including the aftermath—is vital for emotional preparedness. Through sharing these personal experiences, we can foster a community where no one feels alone in this significant chapter of their lives.
