Snow day! So grateful!

Snowy days often evoke feelings of nostalgia and joy, especially for those who have endured life's challenges. For many, like myself, surviving a serious illness such as stage 4 colon cancer can cast a shadow over the simple pleasures we often take for granted. Yet, these moments of beauty—when the world transforms into a winter wonderland—remind us to appreciate our surroundings and the memories we create with our families. In the southern United States, snow is a rare phenomenon, making it even more special for children who experience it infrequently. Watching my 8-year-old reveling in the snow thrills me, reinforcing the importance of being present during fleeting moments like these. It's a reminder to live in gratitude, cherish our experiences, and make the most of our time with loved ones. As I prepare to share my full story of survival and awareness tips, I hope to inspire others to find joy in small things, regardless of life's challenges.
