Get to know me
Vulnerability
🤍 My Story: Just a black sheep of the family who gets blamed for everything because I’m the one trying to break generational norms. Went to therapy because of it and sometimes it’s still hard, but I know I got this. I’m married to my beautiful wife and have two boys, and a baby girl on the way ❤️🙏🏼
🤍 How I Felt: sad, angry, alone, suffocated
🤍 My Takeaways: I’ve learned it’s okay to be different from your family. Because if you don’t stay true to yourself, you’ll never be happy. I’m happy I took this route even tho it was hard, I’m doing it ❤️ I believe in you! 🤍
In today's world, many individuals grapple with the concept of embracing their true selves, often feeling like outsiders within their families. The journey of self-discovery can be a winding path filled with challenges, yet it is profoundly important. Breaking generational norms is no small feat; it requires courage and resilience. Therapy is a powerful tool that can offer support and guidance through this process. It helps individuals understand and process emotions, such as sadness, anger, and loneliness, providing strategies for coping and growth. By addressing these feelings, one can begin to cultivate a sense of self-worth and acceptance. It's essential to engage with supportive communities, whether online or in-person, where experiences can be shared, and encouragement can flourish. Many have walked similar paths, and their insights can be invaluable. Remember, being different isn’t a flaw; it’s a strength that adds to the uniqueness of your life story. Embrace your individuality, and remember that it's okay to stand apart from familial expectations while forging your own path toward happiness. Ultimately, each person's journey is personal and valid. Cherish your experiences, and celebrate your growth as you continue to navigate life's complexities and joys with authenticity.
