A Court of Silver Flames by @sarahjmaas was by far the best book in the series.
Ok, I’m gonna admit it, Nesta Acheron was a freakin’ pain in the butt in the previous books. Selfish, cold, distant… and the list goes on. But in this chunker of an installment, Maas takes a deep dive into Nesta’s psyche, unpacking the who, what, and why behind her walls.
With the previous books in the series, I sometimes felt Maas overexplained (insert my “chingao, I got it let’s move on” moments), but here? Nesta’s obsessive nature seemed to fit with the overexplanations.
And as expected after so much introspection and growth, everything ties up in a neat little bow at the end. Ta da! 🎁
I hear there’s another book coming… someday. Will I pick it up? Maybe. Maybe not. Never say never.
