Economy impact? 📉
Random Thoughts
💭What's on my mind: I feel like if the ban happens we are going to have a huge economy impact in the US.
Specifically because a lot of influencers live outside of their means and expect to make extravagant amounts in collabs.
I also worry that brands & agencies won’t pay influencers for collaborations or try and avoid payment if TikTok shuts down.
Plus TikTok was the livelihood of so many small businesses as well I worry we will see a bunch of them tank unless they are able to diversify their followings to other apps.

The discussion surrounding a potential TikTok ban raises significant concerns about its effects on the economy. If enacted, many influencers, who rely on TikTok as a primary source of income, may suffer substantial financial losses. Various reports indicate that influencers often live beyond their means, banking on lucrative collaborations that may diminish if TikTok ceases operations. Furthermore, small businesses that utilize TikTok for marketing and customer engagement could face jeopardy. The platform acts as a powerful tool for businesses to reach wider audiences and drive sales, especially for those operating on tight budgets. Without this avenue, many may struggle to sustain their operations. According to recent trends, a notable percentage of small enterprises have leveraged TikTok to build brand awareness and connect with clients. The abrupt end of access could force them to pivot to alternative platforms, which may not yield the same immediate visibility or engagement. Brands and agencies may also hesitate to allocate budgets for collaborations if TikTok's future is uncertain. This leads to anxiety among creators and businesses alike, highlighting the interconnectedness of the influencer economy and social media platforms. In conclusion, a TikTok ban could have not just an immediate impact but lasting repercussions across various economic tiers, emphasizing a need for diversified strategies that do not solely rely on one digital platform.

It makes me sad. It’s just government greed. They invested in meta stocks before the ban. It has nothing to do with “security” and everything with further lining their pockets and pinching us down even further.
