⭐️Overall rating: 7.5/10: Her Soul To Take, Harley Laroux

I tend to be a generous reviewer when it comes to books, and it takes a lot for me not to finish a book. So, take that however you will with this review.

I’d seen all the hype online for this book and tend to avoid super hyped up books generally, I’m just not a fan of the “twilight effect” on a potentially not great thing.

However, this was a gift. And I’m really glad I read it, and in nearly one sitting. The FMC is a death trap waiting for one wrong step; there’s actually a pretty decent plot and the smut is spicy AND consensual with a DEMON. I loved the time taken to describe Hell, and the character growth of the MMC. To be completely honest, the MMC and cheesecake are what make me love the book so much. Rae is fine and all but the constantly walking into danger on purpose gets old fast.

If you aren’t bothered by a nearly helpless and death wish having FMC, like your dark romance with a tiny bit of comedy and like chubby cats then this might be the book for you.
