Cheeseburger Garbage Bread
INGREDIENTS
6 Slices of bacon
1 Pound ground beef
1 Small onion
1/2 Cup dill pickle relish
2 Tbsp ketchup
1 Tsp yellow mustard
2 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Can refrigerated pizza dough
4 Slices American cheese
8 Ounces shredded cheese
1 large egg, beaten
Sesame seeds
DIRECTIONS
🔥 Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cook your bacon and drain on paper towels.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Add onions to the skillet, reduce heat to medium, and continue cooking until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in bacon, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; set aside.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and give it a spray. Unroll pizza dough onto the baking sheet. Press and stretch dough into a 10x15-inch rectangle.
Spoon meat mixture down the center of the dough lengthwise. Place American cheese slices over
meat; sprinkle evenly with half the Cheddar cheese.
Make 2-inch cuts into the dough from both long edges toward the meat mixture in the center, about 1 inch apart. Starting at the top, stretch each strip across in a crisscross pattern to form a loaf.
Brush the loaf with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and top with remaining Cheddar.
🔥 Bake in the preheated oven until cheese begins to turn golden brown, about 30 minutes and Munch!
Making Cheeseburger Garbage Bread at home is a fun and satisfying twist on classic cheeseburgers, especially when you want a shareable, mess-free meal. One tip I've learned from personal experience is to ensure you drain the cooked ground beef and bacon thoroughly to avoid soggy dough. Incorporating dill pickle relish and Worcestershire sauce adds that tangy depth reminiscent of a real cheeseburger, which really elevates the flavor profile beyond ordinary stuffed breads. When working with the refrigerated pizza dough, stretching it gently but evenly helps maintain the bread’s structure after folding. The crisscross pattern of the dough strips not only looks impressive but also keeps the filling securely inside, preventing any leakage during baking. Brushing the loaf with a beaten egg gives it a beautiful golden crust and helps the sesame seeds stick, enhancing both texture and appearance. For cheese lovers, using a mix of American and shredded cheddar cheese creates a gooey and flavorful filling, but you can customize with different cheeses like pepper jack for a spicy kick. Baking at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes is key to achieve a perfectly baked loaf with a golden-brown crust and melted cheese. I usually pair this with a simple green salad or some crispy fries for a satisfying meal. This recipe is great for potlucks or family dinners since it’s easy to slice and serve. Plus, it’s a fun way to enjoy cheeseburger flavors without the hassle of grilling or assembling individual burgers. Give it a try—you’ll find it’s both delicious and a crowd-pleaser!

It looks delicious. For the green stuff I would use avacado. Leave out the cheese slices and put the mustard and ketchup on the side. Thanks for the great idea.
