Peaceful Living
It's not the ONLY steps I've taken but if I had to do it all over again these are the 3 steps I would take:
1. Set a Goal. Knowing what peace looks like and feels like FOR YOU is important. It motivates change and helps you remember what you're working toward.
2. Use My Resources. I would've set limits on my wellbeing apps asap! I would've done grocery pick up asap! Anything that was at my disposal I should've started to make life convenient and manageable.
3. Remember Change Is Weird. We know it's uncomfortable to change but no one talks about how weird life is when you're changing. It's quiet, it's calm, you do not stress as much etc.
I hope this helps🤞🏾

Hey everyone! 👋 You know, when I first started on my journey to truly understand what peaceful living meant, I thought it was about erasing all stress. But I quickly learned it's so much more – it's about creating a balanced life where calm isn't just an absence, but a beautiful presence. My initial three steps were a great start, but I wanted to dive deeper into how I truly cultivated that serene space for peace in my everyday. What does "peaceful living" actually look like beyond the headlines? For me, it's those small, intentional moments. It's savoring my morning coffee without rushing, knowing I've set boundaries for my workday. It's feeling content even when plans shift, because I've learned to adapt rather than resist. It's about consciously choosing activities that nourish my soul and letting go of the ones that drain me, creating a rhythm that feels inherently right for *me*. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all, but a deeply personal exploration of what makes your heart feel light and your mind clear. When it comes to setting goals for peace, it's not just vague wishes. I found it incredibly helpful to visualize my ideal peaceful day. What would I be doing? How would I feel? For example, instead of "be less stressed," a better goal might be "dedicate 15 minutes each evening to reading a book without distractions" or "practice a 5-minute guided meditation every morning." These concrete actions make peace an achievable reality, not just a dream. And leveraging resources? This was a game-changer! Beyond apps and grocery pickup, think about ALL the ways you can offload mental load. Can you automate bill payments? Can you delegate a task at work or home? Even simpler, can you schedule "quiet time" in your day that's non-negotiable? I also started relying more on nature – a simple walk in the park or sitting by a window with a plant became my mini-retreats, helping clear my head and recenter. Finally, that "change is weird" part? It’s so true, and it can throw you off. When you start shedding old habits of constant busyness or worry, life can feel… empty at first. It’s a strange quiet, almost unsettling. But this is where you learn to sit with yourself, to discover what true calm feels like. Don't be afraid of the silence; embrace it as an invitation to fill that space for peace with genuine joy and self-care. I learned to use that quiet time for journaling, gentle stretching, or just simply being. It’s a re-calibration, reminding you that peace isn't about being constantly entertained, but deeply connected to your inner self. Beyond these points, I've found a few extra nuggets that really cemented my peaceful existence: regular digital detoxes (even just for an hour!), practicing gratitude daily, and consciously connecting with people who uplift me. These small, consistent efforts compound, truly transforming your daily experience into one of greater calm and contentment. It’s an ongoing journey, but one absolutely worth taking!
