Kitchen to Skincare: My Current Wellness Obsession

Lately I’ve been obsessed with making my own skincare using things I already have at home. Why spend the money when the ingredients are already in your kitchen? 🤍

Face + body scrub: coffee & honey 🍯 (just use a finer grind for your face)

Gut detox shot 🥒

celery, cucumber, kale, pineapple, ginger & apple cider vinegar

Skin glow drink 🍊

orange, carrot, turmeric, ginger, lemons, apple cider vinegar.

Body lotion: coconut oil, almond oil, hemp seed oil + a few essential oils.

Simple, natural, and it actually feels so good knowing exactly what’s going on my skin.

3/6 Edited to

... Read moreI’ve found that making my own skincare and wellness blends at home has truly transformed my routine. Using everyday ingredients like coffee grounds and honey not only saves money but also gives me confidence in the purity of what I'm applying to my skin. For example, using a finely ground coffee and honey scrub gently exfoliates while moisturizing, leaving my skin refreshed without irritation. In addition to topical treatments, incorporating drinks like the skin glow drink made of orange, carrot, turmeric, ginger, lemon, and apple cider vinegar helps boost my complexion from the inside out. The turmeric and ginger add powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits, while the apple cider vinegar supports digestion, which is key for healthy skin. One wellness ritual I swear by is the gut detox shot with celery, cucumber, kale, pineapple, ginger, and apple cider vinegar. Drinking this regularly helps me feel lighter and increases my energy levels. Plus, it complements my skincare regimen by promoting better nutrient absorption and clearer skin. I also make my own body lotion blending coconut oil with almond and hemp seed oil, adding essential oils for a calming scent. This simple mixture hydrates deeply without harsh chemicals, and I love knowing exactly what’s going on my skin. Overall, these natural, kitchen-based wellness practices have not only improved my skin’s texture and glow but also enhanced my overall health. If you’re looking to reduce exposure to synthetic ingredients while embracing a holistic approach, experimenting with these DIY recipes might just become your new self-care obsession.
