Cecil Baptiste - We started a fundraiser for him.

Story Con’t from Yesterday Friday May 29th

So we left off, in the year 1972 - its Summer break and I am the main caretaker for Cecil - my Mom is just being a Mom of five children by then. I can see her stresses and her being overwhelmed, five children is allot to handle for someone that was the youngest child. Plus growing up my mom was treated like a princess. So basically this was unknown territory for her, plus by then her mom had been diagnosed with cancer. So she was going through it.

Yet I was so happy, I had this little boy and he was so funny and extra excited! Cecil was very active, more than the first three ever was. He kept all of us on our toes. As a toddler I remember him just wanting to simply “RUN” he ran everywhere never walked.

That’s it for today.

Due to the nature of my brother unexpected death and the way it happened. We have setup a gofundme for him.

Any help would be deeply appreciated. #gofundme #for #my #brother #cecilbaptiste

In 1972, during the summer break, being the main caretaker of Cecil meant managing a lively and energetic child whose spirit was truly infectious. Those early years are full of memories like his eagerness to run everywhere, which kept the entire family active and engaged. Caring for Cecil while my mother was overwhelmed with five children and dealing with her own challenges, including her mother’s cancer diagnosis, was a poignant chapter for us. Experiencing the loss of a loved one unexpectedly creates a profound void, which the family is navigating with strength and love. The fundraiser organized in Cecil’s honor is not only a way to help with immediate needs but also a meaningful opportunity for friends and community members to come together and show support. The hashtag #gofundme alongside #cecilbaptiste exemplifies how social goodwill can rally to impact positive change in difficult times. From a personal perspective, I’ve learned that sharing stories like these invites healing and connection. Cecil’s legacy of joy and energy continues to inspire, reminding us all of the power of family bonds and the importance of community support in moments of hardship. Whether you knew Cecil personally or are moved by this story, contributing or simply spreading the word can make a significant difference. It’s a reminder that every life leaves an indelible mark on those around them, and honoring that life through collective action is truly invaluable.
