On May 8th, 2026 - my brother Cecil Baptiste was brutally attacked in Harriman. Tennessee - he was jumped by 3 men, bystanders caught the beating on camera and one of them put him in a chokehold, while the other two continued to bombard him with punches, until he lost complete consciousness. At that point the one chokeholding him, let go of his unconscious body, and he hit the concrete head first, causing massive head trauma.
Bystander started CPR on him because he had flatlined, when the EMT arrived they hit him with the defibrillator 8 times, before they got a heartbeat. They took him to the closest hospital, yet that hospital wasn’t equipped to handle this much damage. They helicoptered him to another hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He stayed in a complete unconscious state, from that point on. Later after the MRI we found out that he was brain dead and he was being kept alive by the machines and they had him on so much medication.
He passed on May 18, 2026 and the case has now become a homicide and we are currently looking for funds to help with everything.
