Having attended numerous open mic nights around Seattle, I can personally say that Lizzie Sunchine's hosting at The Royal Esquire Club offers a uniquely vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Located at 5016 Rainier Ave S, the club combines great food and drinks with a lively crowd eager to support local talent. The Sunday Funday events kick off around 7 PM and continue until 1 AM, allowing plenty of time for a variety of performers to showcase their skills—from singers and poets to comedians. What makes this open mic especially enjoyable is the friendly environment that Lizzie creates; she encourages both newcomers and seasoned performers to take the stage. Whether you're looking to perform or just enjoy an evening out, the event's free entry is a big plus, making it accessible for everyone. With the regular attendance of both Esquire members and TikTok enthusiasts, the crowd is diverse and energetic, often resulting in spontaneous collaborations and performances. If you’re planning to visit, I recommend arriving early to grab a good seat and enjoy the club’s excellent menu while soaking in the performances. Over the months, I've seen some incredible talent that continues to make these Sunday nights a must-experience event in Seattle’s live music scene.
