(a coworker shared this with me, I am now obsessed 😍 I had to share with you guys!)
Ingredients:
- 1-2 oranges (sliced or dried)
- 1 apple (sliced or dried)
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon of whole cloves
- 1-2 sprigs of fresh rosemary (optional)
- Water
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the oranges and apple or gather the dried oranges and apple. Gather the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and/or vanilla extract, last ingredient is optional.
2. Fill a Pot with Water: Place a medium-sized pot on the stove and fill it about halfway with water.
3. Add Ingredients to the Pot: Add the oranges, apple, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and any optional ingredients to the pot.
4.Turn the heat to medium-high and bring the water to a boil.
5. Reduce to a Simmer: Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer.
6. Monitor the Water Level: Check the pot every so often and add more water as needed to keep the ingredients submerged and prevent burning.
7. Let the simmer pot fill your home with a delightful scent. You can let it simmer for a few hours, just remember to keep an eye on the water level.
