FOUR EASY STEPS!!⭐️

When I first started getting into my Bible all I would do was read it, then forget everything I just read. This method helps me remember the point of what I read and even memorize a couple of verses :)

- Don’t overwhelm yourself and try to read 89 chapters it’s okay if you only get a few verse in🩷

⭐️STEP ONE:

Sometimes deciding what to read can be harder said than done, so here some options that help me choose.

1. praying and asking God what he wants you to read

2. Opening my Bible at a random spot and let God choose what I read.

3. Googling “books in the Bible that help with ____(whatever your struggling with)”

4. Finding a Bible study online or purchasing one.

- This is usually my go to because I like a lot of guidance and structure when I read!

⭐️STEP TWO:

Pray. It can be a very simple prayer, ask God to help you understand and remember his word.

Example:

* Dear Lord, I ask that whatever I read today sticks in my mind. Help me understand your word and learn something new. I pray that whatever I read I am able to use in the world or help another with, in Jesus name I pray Amen.

⭐️STEP THREE:

Highlighting anything that stands out to you makes step 4 a lot easier. If your need a little more guidance on what to actually highlight these are things I do

- Something I didn’t know before

- Rules/ instruction

- Things referred to as holy or important

✨PSA:

I am one of those people who highlights EVERYTHING. If only a few things stick out to you that’s okay!! Some days a lot speaks to me and other days only a couple of verses do :)

⭐️STEP THREE AND A HALF:

If you’re stuck don’t give up!!! The Holy Bible App is one of the best tools. You can read notes others have taken or watch video that explain the chapter. You can also just google anything, but make sure it’s a trusted website 🤍

⭐️STEP FOUR:

i start by writing down what chapter(s) I read at the top of the page along with the date.

✨copying your favorite verses

Then I search back through my highlighted verses to see which ones stuck out the most! (You can copy down everything you highlighted or just a couple of verses).

✨summary of what you learned

Write down the play-by-play of what happened in what you read. Then write what you took and understood from it. It’s always fun to throw in something you found interesting.

YOUR ALL DONE!! YOU’VE STUDIED YOUR BIBLE🥳

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭

... Read moreStudying the Bible can be both enriching and overwhelming, especially for beginners. Following a structured method can help one stay focused and retain important lessons. STEP ONE encourages choosing relevant readings prayerfully or through helpful resources like Bible-related searches. Incorporating recommendations can clarify what to focus on, particularly when grappling with personal struggles. STEP TWO highlights the importance of prayer in seeking understanding and retention; simple prayers can align intentions with God's teachings. In STEP THREE, the act of highlighting significant phrases or verses is emphasized, allowing readers to easily refer back to insights that resonate on deeper levels. This practice also helps with STEP FOUR, where maintaining a journal of favorite passages and personal summaries solidifies understandings and reflections on spiritual growth. The Holy Bible App is a recommended tool for additional support, providing access to shared notes and explanations that enhance comprehension. By implementing these steps, individuals can cultivate a rewarding and personalized Bible study routine, bringing them closer to their faith.
