Saturdays are traditionally ruled by Saturn, the planet of discipline, structure, boundaries, and long-term goals. This isn't a day for quick fixes or impulsive moves; it's a day for deep introspection, breaking old habits, protection, banishing, and serious self-improvement. When I engage in saturday spell work, I'm usually focusing on things like cutting cords, setting healthy boundaries, or embarking on a journey of self-discovery spell work. It’s about building a solid foundation for my aspirations, much like how Saturn helps us structure our lives. My favorite part of Saturday magick is creating my sacred space. I love setting up my witch candle scene. There's something incredibly grounding about carefully arranging my altar: a sturdy surface, my favorite spellbooks (often open to pages on protection or banishing), and, of course, plenty of lit candles. The flickering flames instantly shift the atmosphere and help me focus my intent. Sometimes I'll include a small pentagram for elemental balance or a rose for self-love, especially when working on a self-discovery spell. It's a truly mystical practice that prepares me for the ritual ahead. Speaking of self-discovery spell work, the OCR mentioned "a spell for finding yourself," which truly resonates with my Saturday practice. Here’s a simple ritual I often adapt: I’ll light a white candle (for clarity) and a purple candle (for spiritual insight). With my spellbook nearby for inspiration, I’ll take a few deep breaths, focusing on a question about my path or purpose. Then, I might write down my thoughts, feelings, or even a simple poem that comes to mind, much like the one described in the image.
