Movie vs Book

I can’t believe how long it took me to read Jurassic Park. I’ve seen all of the movies but never had the time to read it.

Finally, I got to read the book and I was astounded by the difference. Not only was the book more suspenseful, it provided more about the science of the creation of the dinosaurs. More dinosaurs and more chases.

I wish the movie was more like the book, and they had more of the characters. But overall, I enjoyed both the cinema and novel versions.

For those that havent read Jurassic Park, I’d definitely read it.

While films can offer stunning visuals and action, books often provide richer character development and intricate details. In the case of Jurassic Park, the novel delves into the scientific aspects of cloning dinosaurs, enriching the narrative with suspenseful scenes that the movie merely skims over. Fans of the book may argue that characters introduced in the novel add layers to the story that the film leaves out. This reflects a common trend in adaptations where filmmakers prioritize pacing and visual appeal over character exploration. The book's detailed description of the park's creation process adds depth, fostering a sense of realism that enhances the reader's imagination. Interestingly, adaptations may alter themes and plot lines to ensure a broader audience appeal, sometimes sacrificing the nuance of the original writing. Nonetheless, both mediums offer unique experiences, and engaging with both the book and its movie adaptation allows fans to appreciate each version's merits and drawbacks. If you haven't yet explored the Jurassic Park novel, it's a thrilling read that truly complements the film experience.
