... Read moreYou know that feeling, right? You're moving from the living room to the kitchen, then maybe upstairs to the bedroom, and suddenly you need a pen, your earbuds, or just a quick spritz of something refreshing. Instead of constantly backtracking or shouting, "Has anyone seen my…?", the house purse is my absolute game-changer for staying on top of life at home! It’s not just a cute accessory; it’s a practical hub for all those little essentials that make my day smoother. So, what exactly makes it into my trusty house purse? I've found that grouping items by their purpose helps me keep track and ensures I'm always prepared. For Productivity & Quick Notes: Even at home, brilliant ideas strike, or I remember an urgent task. That’s where my spiral notebook and colorful pens come in handy. I also keep a small shopping list notebook with a cute lemon design for groceries I think of while watching TV. And for those moments when I need to quickly look something up or make a more detailed plan, my pink tablet is always within reach. It’s perfect for everything from meal planning to jotting down blog post ideas. Self-Care & Comfort on the Go (at home!): Just because I'm home doesn't mean I neglect my personal comfort! My house purse always has a cinnamon roll lip balm for a quick pick-me-up and a travel-sized jar of Nivea vanilla and almond oil cream to keep my hands soft. For a refresh, I love having Burt's Bees micellar facial towelettes with rose water – ideal after a quick workout or just to feel revitalized. And honestly, who hasn't needed a Halls menthol cough drop unexpectedly? They’re life-savers! Plus, those Guru Nanda 4-in-1 quad clean flossers are perfect for a quick refresh after a snack. Tech & Entertainment Fixes: My white earbud case is a non-negotiable. Whether I'm listening to a podcast while doing chores or catching up on an audiobook, having them handy is a must. I also carry a small white portable device – sometimes it's a portable charger, sometimes it's just my phone when I don't want to carry it in my pocket. And for those moments of light distraction or when I need to focus, my blue fidget spinner is surprisingly effective! Hydration & Snack Essentials: Sometimes you just need a little something to tide you over. I keep a few sugar-free drink mixes (orange and pomegranate are my favorites!) in a pink container, along with a chocolate chip snack bar for emergency hunger pangs. The Hydramate electrolyte drink mix with natural lemon-lime flavor is also a brilliant addition, especially on warmer days or if I’m just feeling a bit sluggish. And that black spray bottle? It’s usually filled with a refreshing facial mist or even just water for a quick cool-down. Choosing Your Own House Purse: When picking a house purse, consider something with a few compartments to keep things organized, not just a bottomless pit! Mine is big enough to hold all these essentials but still light enough to easily carry from room to room. It’s all about finding what works for your home and your daily routine. Having my house purse has truly simplified my home life, preventing endless searches and keeping me feeling prepared and productive. I highly recommend giving it a try – you might be surprised how much you love having your essentials always within reach!

I don’t have a house purse but I’m not gonna lie, after a long day with my toddler I’ll put the whole bottle of wine in a cooler on ice and sit it next to me on the couch so I can relax without having to get up to refill 😆
