This is why studying feels impossible lately
Lately, many students find it challenging to focus on studying, and I can totally relate. One big culprit is the constant digital noise from our phones. Notifications from social media or apps can easily pull your attention away. I’ve found that setting my phone to 'Do Not Disturb' mode during study sessions or using app blockers really helps minimize distractions. Another lesson I learned is the importance of having a clear game plan. When I feel overwhelmed, procrastination sets in and anxiety builds up. Breaking study tasks into smaller chunks — like starting with just a 5-minute micro-task — makes it easier to begin and maintain momentum. Also, the environment plays a huge role. A cluttered desk always made me feel scattered and unmotivated. Doing a quick 2-minute desk reset before I study helps clear my mind and creates a more productive atmosphere. I also came across a useful study app called TikoNote. It features notes, flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and even mind maps. Using tools like this helped me organize my materials better and track my progress more efficiently. Making these small changes added up to big improvements in my study habits. It’s encouraging to remember that you don’t have to be perfect right away; starting small and taking control of your environment and routines can make studying feel much more manageable.
