... Read moreThereโ€™s nothing quite like the thrill of a fresh Barnes & Noble haul, right? That feeling of walking out with a bag full of new adventures is just the best! For me, one of the first things I do when I get home is lay out all my treasures, often right there on the floor, just to admire them. Itโ€™s like a mini-celebration of new stories waiting to be discovered. Plus, itโ€™s the perfect way to get a good photo for my Lemon8 friends! When Iโ€™m arranging my 'books on the floor' display, I love thinking about how Iโ€™ll eventually style my reading nook. Sometimes, Iโ€™ll stack them by color, other times by genre, or even just by how excited I am to read them! Itโ€™s all about creating that cozy, inviting atmosphere. And let's be real, sometimes the floor is just the best temporary spot when your bookshelves are overflowing โ€“ a problem every book lover understands! This particular haul has me beyond excited. First up, I grabbed 'You've Reached Sam' by Dustin Thao. Iโ€™ve heard so much buzz about this one, and the cover with the cherry blossoms is just stunning. It looks like itโ€™s going to be a poignant and emotional read, perfect for when I need a good cry or a heartfelt story. It was even marked as a bestseller, so my expectations are high! Then, I finally picked up 'The Silent Patient' by Alex Michaelides. Psychological thrillers are my absolute weakness, and this one has been on my radar forever. The cover itself is so intriguing โ€“ that torn paper design just screams mystery. I canโ€™t wait to get lost in its twists and turns; I have a feeling itโ€™s going to keep me guessing until the very last page. Bestseller status definitely sealed the deal for this one. And for something a bit darker, I couldn't resist 'If It Bleeds' by Stephen King. You can never go wrong with the master of horror, can you? The cover with the black cat with glowing eyes pulled me right in. This one feels like itโ€™ll be perfect for a stormy night, curled up with a blanket, ready to be thoroughly spooked. Itโ€™s even got a 'boyfriends book' overlay, which makes me curious about the story dynamics! After admiring my new collection, I always try to figure out my reading order. Do I jump straight into the thriller, or ease in with something more contemporary? Itโ€™s a delightful dilemma! How do you decide which book to read first from your haul? And where do you usually display your new book treasures โ€“ on a shelf, a coffee table, or do you also love the 'books on the floor' aesthetic for a quick photo op? Share your tips with me!
