Acne Emergency Rescue Secrets! 🔑

I’m naturally not prone to breakouts, but sometimes I still get these stubborn "nodular acne" spots. These big, hard, painful pimples are seriously annoying! 🙄 But I have a set of tricks to deal with them, and I’m sharing them with you! If you have similar problems, definitely give these a try! ✨

1. NEVER Pop Pimples!!

You cannot pop nodular acne! From my experience, every time I see a pimple, I immediately apply my favorite acne cream, and after a few days, the swelling goes down significantly, with noticeable results! However, complete healing takes time—usually no more than a month, and the pimple will disappear completely!

2. If Acne Is Severe, Don’t Try DIY Treatments—Go to the Hospital!

My sister used to have severe acne and tried so many products, spending tons of money in vain. Finally, she went to a dermatologist and was diagnosed with "severe acne," which was completely treated! So if your acne is really bad, avoid small beauty salons, don’t make your acne worse! Definitely go to a proper dermatology clinic.

3. Diet and Sleep Are Key!

Recently, my T-zone has been getting oily again, and honestly, I can’t stop eating all the greasy food 🍕💤. If you can control your diet and try to eat lighter, also avoid staying up late! I do a regular acid treatment, just on my T-zone, using The Ordinary 30% Glycolic Acid. I apply a thin layer to my T-zone and leave it on for 5-10 minutes before washing it off. I do this about once every three days.

Important! Always do your homework before using acids, especially for sensitive skin! Acidic ingredients can irritate the skin, so use them correctly!

4. Cleansing is Crucial!

① Makeup Removal: I highly recommend using cleansing oil! After makeup removal, always follow up with a facial cleanser to thoroughly clean your skin.

② Mud Masks: Once a week, use a mud mask. After using it, your blackheads will float to the surface, and you can gently extract them with a pimple needle, then follow up with a hydrating mask. For sensitive skin, I recommend medical-grade masks.

③ Night Skincare: Keep it simple with toner and moisturizer. If you have oily skin, you can skip the cream!

5. Sun Protection Is A Must!

One of the most important things during acne treatment is sun protection! Always use sunscreen, carry an umbrella when you go outside, and wear UV-protective clothing to avoid direct sunlight. Proper sun protection will help speed up your skin’s recovery!

Pro Tip: Acne care isn’t just about skincare—your lifestyle habits need to be in sync too! Stick with it, and your acne will slowly disappear, leaving your skin smoother and clearer ✨

... Read moreUnderstanding the differences between fungal acne and hormonal acne is important for effective treatment. Fungal acne is caused by yeast buildup and tends to appear as small, uniform pimples often accompanied by itchiness, usually requiring antifungal treatments. Hormonal acne, on the other hand, is triggered by hormonal fluctuations and appears as inflamed nodules or cysts, often on the lower face and jawline. From my experience, misidentifying fungal acne for hormonal can lead to using the wrong products, potentially making the condition worse. That’s why if over-the-counter remedies don’t work, consulting a dermatologist is crucial—they can perform proper diagnosis and prescribe either antifungal medication or hormone-regulating therapies. Additionally, maintaining an appropriate skincare routine tailored for your acne type is key. For example, fungal acne-prone skin benefits from gentle, non-comedogenic, and fragrance-free cleansers to reduce yeast overgrowth, whereas hormonal acne may respond well to ingredients like salicylic acid and retinoids to manage inflammation and clogged pores. Incorporating lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet low in greasy and sugary foods, adequate hydration, and regular sleep can positively influence both acne types. Use sunscreen suitable for acne-prone skin to protect and aid recovery without irritating your skin. Remember, patience and consistent care are essential. Always introduce new treatments gradually and observe your skin’s response to avoid irritation. If uncertain, seek professional advice to tailor a plan that fits your unique skin needs.
