Any tips on styling short hair?

I just recently cut my hair to just above my ears. I'm not sure what to do with it. Just a plain middle part doesn't look great.

I have a few products, any thing you'd recommend adding?

I curl it with my brush and a hair dryer, which seems to be a vibe. Any other styles?

Also peep the last pic of me at a march. I didn't do my hair that day, I don't like the way it lays.
