Going back to school….

I have always struggled with the Sunday scaries but have found the semester scaries are rough!!

Here are some thing I do to help ease my anxious self when going back to school :)

1. Spend time working on creative projects for myself. Being an art, education, major means I have to make a lot of projects to prompt that I might not feel inspired by. By taking time before the semester starts to express myself creatively it helps ease my mind about entering this semester’s workload.

2. organizing my stuff. Organizing my desktop, creating folders, bookmarking sites I’m gonna need, and making sure any paperwork I need for the semester is ready where I need. It is a great way to help me feel prepared for my courses coming up.

3. fixing my sleep schedule. When you’re on break it’s nice to be able to go to bed whenever you want and wake up whenever you want however, getting back into a healthy sleep schedule is really important. Usually a week or two before the semester starts, I’ll start forcing myself to go to bed earlier and waking up earlier, even if I have nothing to do to prepare myself for the transition.

4. Spending time with God. I know not everyone is a Christian, but I know for me personally reading the Bible and taking time to put my heart in the right place help helps ease anxiety that I have.
