Nail Care & Progress

I've been oiling my nails every morning and evening for a few days now, and sometimes also in the middle of the day if I'm hard on my hands. I still have a long way to go, one of my nails broke after I took these photos, but im impressed so far! My nail plate is getting a little thicker, and my nails don't seem to be peeling as much. the tiktok girlies were right!!

I've found that applying nail oil not only twice but sometimes three times a day, especially after washing my hands or if I feel my nails are dry, greatly improves their strength and appearance. Nail oil penetrates the nail plate and cuticles, providing much-needed hydration and nutrients, which helps prevent peeling and breakage. Along with oiling, using a cuticle remover gel gently softens and eases back the cuticles without damaging the nail bed. This step is critical as healthy cuticles protect the nail from infections and promote healthy growth. I use a glass nail file instead of traditional emery boards; it’s gentler on the nails and helps maintain a smooth, even edge, which further reduces the chances of nail splits. Progress is gradual, and I’ve noticed my nail plate getting thicker and less prone to peeling after just a few days of dedicated care. It’s important to remember that occasional breaks or chips happen but shouldn’t discourage you. The key is to maintain the routine and be patient. Many TikTok beauty enthusiasts share similar routines that really work, and the results don’t lie! Lastly, protecting your hands by wearing gloves during harsh chores and moisturizing your hands regularly supports overall nail health. These simple habits complement nail oiling and leave your nails looking and feeling stronger, healthier, and more resilient over time.
