habits that are hurting your weightloss progress

as a girly who has lost 20 pounds but LOVES food, never sleeps & loves to go out with girlfriends, i had to learn how to break some negative habits that were really holding me back!

1. lack of sleep

if you are not getting enough sleep, you are truly screwing yourself over. it negatively impacts every single aspect of your health & weightloss efforts. it can slow down your metabolism, causes lower energy levels (which makes you feel hungrier & can de-motivate plans to exercise or do activity), and increase cortisol and stress levels. PLEASE prioritize sleep and set a routine and stick to it.

2. late night snacking

this was another killer for me. the weight started melting off once i kicked this habit & my sleep improved greatly as my body had time to process all my food and then focus on healing & recovery while im sleeping!

3. unhealthy liquids

alcohol is the METABOLISM KILLER. it destroys your bodies ability to burn fat for 24 hours and is traditionally packed with sugars. it is best to limit & avoid it most days. starbucks coffees are typically full of sugar as well, so always watch out for that, choose healthier options and switch out that dairy milk!

Sleep is crucial; a lack of it can elevate cortisol levels, leading to increased cravings and weight gain. Incorporating a consistent sleep routine can drastically enhance your metabolism and energy levels. Late-night snacking is another major hurdle. When you snack late, your body is unable to metabolize food efficiently, disrupting sleep and recovery processes. Skipping this habit not only aids weight loss but improves your overall wellbeing. Moreover, the beverages we consume play a significant role in weight management. Alcohol consumption is notorious for hindering fat burning and can be a hidden source of excess calories due to high sugar content. Switching to healthier drinks, such as water or herbal teas, can help maintain your weight loss trajectory. Taking small but significant steps towards changing these habits can lead to a healthier, happier you on your weight loss journey.
