Here’s a few of my recent reads and my reviews!

Book name: Primal of Blood and Bone

Author: Jennifer L Armentrout

Genre: Fantasy

My rating: 3.5/5

My review: It’s such a let down! The first ones were so good & had me hooked but this one felt like it dragged on. Ended well, eventually picked up. Just had a lot of nonsense that wasn’t necessary. I was ready to DNF around chapter 13.

Book name: Legend

Author: Marie Lu

Genre: Dystopian

My rating: 4/5

My review: I liked it, kept me interested. Didn’t have too much fluff and had enough drama/action to keep me wanting to read more.

Book name: Prodigy

Author: Marie Lu

Genre: Dystopian

My rating: 4.5/5

My review: was better than the first, I was hooked. Had to force myself to stop reading when I needed to do other things.

... Read moreIf you're a fan of the fantasy and dystopian genres, these recent reads offer a mix of captivating worlds and complex characters, though with some varying pacing and engagement. "Primal of Blood and Bone" by Jennifer L. Armentrout is part of a fantasy series known for its intense storytelling and epic battles. While earlier books in this series have been praised for hooking readers with gripping plots and rich mythology, this installment felt a bit slower with some unnecessary scenes that may test patience. However, the conclusion redeems much of the middle content, making it worth finishing. For readers who enjoy sprawling fantasy sagas with mythical elements, it might be worth pushing through the slower sections. Turning to dystopian themes, Marie Lu's "Legend" and its sequel "Prodigy" offer fast-paced narratives filled with action and engaging drama. "Legend" sets the stage with a gripping plot that avoids excessive fluff, keeping the stakes high and maintaining interest throughout. Its successor, "Prodigy," deepens the story and character development, increasing reader investment and emotional engagement. The compelling characters and high tension make these books favorites among fans of dystopian adventures and those who appreciate thrilling reads that make it hard to put the book down. For readers looking to join a community of book enthusiasts, hashtags like #lemon8bookclub, #Bookreviews, and #honestbookopinion on social platforms provide a space to share thoughts and discover new reads. Whether you prefer fantasy with mythical creatures and bloodlines or dystopian tales of resistance and survival, these books offer varied experiences to explore.

These are my opinions on it but y’all need to read it for yourselves to see what y’all think. The spice levels is based off of which had the most 🌶️ scenes. Twisted Games and Twisted Hate had the most. While Twisted Love and Twisted Lies didn’t have many maybe 4-6 max. I might do ratings on the Twi
