Bacanê êp hêk also know as shakshuka
My husband’s favorite middle eastern breakfast dish is hands down shakshuka and not just for breakfast he’ll ask or make it him self in the middle of the night for a late night meal or for dinner.
——Ingredients——
1/4 cup olive oil
1 small onion
1 jalapeño
1 pint of cherry tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 eggs
Sprinkle some salt on top of the eggs
Parsley for garnish
Pita bread or naan for dipping

1. Put a skillet on high heat add olive oil wait for the oil to get hot
2. Then add the onion, jalapeño and sauté for a couple of minutes
3. Then add in the tomatoes, salt and black pepper cover with the lid and let that cook for 5 minutes
4. Smash the tomatoes with a wooden spoon. Then crack the eggs on top, Sprinkle some salt on top of the eggs and cover again until the eggs are cooked to your liking, garnish with some parsley and enjoy.
