It definitely earns its 100/10 for raw emotion and a compelling synopsis that draws you in from the start. For action buffs, you absolutely must check out White House Down (2013). This movie is pure adrenaline! Think a police officer having to save his daughter and the President during a hostile White House takeover. With Channing Tatum leading the charge, you know you’re in for some serious thrills and impressive stunts. A solid 10/10 in my book for a high-octane action experience. Another one that tugged at my heartstrings was Purple Hearts (2022). This beautiful story features an aspiring singer-songwriter who enters into a marriage of convenience with a Marine. It's a poignant exploration of love, sacrifice, and the unexpected ways people connect. I rated it 9/10 because it truly moved me and had me reaching for the tissues. Speaking of action, Lift (2024) gave me all the heist movie vibes I needed! This one is about a group of professional thieves attempting a daring mid-flight gold heist. It's sleek, stylish, and full of suspense. Seeing the movie poster with Kevin Hart definitely piqued my interest, and it did not disappoint. A fantastic 9/10 for its clever plot and engaging pace. If you're into thrilling capers, this is your pick to watch on Netflix. And for some much-needed laughs, No Hard Feelings (2023) was absolutely hilarious. Jennifer Lawrence plays a woman who responds to an online ad to “date” someone’s son, and the premise alone sets the stage for comedic gold. It's a fresh, bold comedy that had me genuinely laughing out loud multiple times. Definitely a 9/10 if you're looking for pure entertainment and a good giggle.
