Let’s be real- Cravings can be INTENSE 😫

And you know what makes them worse? Ignoring them 🙅🏻‍♀️

So- if you’re having a craving (especially one that goes against your New Year’s Resolutions), ask yourself these questions:

1) Is this what I truly want/need right now?

2) Can I obtain this thing right now/relatively quickly?

If your answers are yes, here’s one more question to ask yourself:

3) How can I satisfy this craving in conjection with my goals?

For example, if you’re craving Oreos (like I am 24/7), you can allow yourself to have 2 to satisfy the craving now instead of depriving yourself and eating half the sleeve later…

I hope this helps your crush your resolutions! Drop them below so we can be accountability partners ⬇️

... Read moreCravings are a common challenge, especially when you're trying to stick to resolutions or a healthier lifestyle. Acknowledging and addressing these cravings is essential for maintaining balance in your eating habits. When a craving strikes, first evaluate if it’s something you truly want or need at that moment. Often, cravings can stem from emotional triggers rather than physical hunger. For example, stress or boredom can lead to a desire for comfort foods. Implementing mindful eating practices can be helpful; try to savor each bite and fully enjoy the flavors. This approach can allow you to satisfy your cravings while being aware of your goals. Additionally, consider healthy alternatives that still offer satisfaction. Incorporating balanced treats—such as dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate—can provide a compromise. Lastly, don’t forget the importance of community support. Engaging with friends or online groups can provide accountability, encouragement, and even creative ideas for healthier snacking options. Remember, it’s perfectly okay to indulge occasionally; the key is moderation and understanding the reasons behind your cravings.
