Smart went crazy
Why are most employers like this bro? I can’t even understand how they’d rather constantly train new people and have sad turnover instead of respect and listen to and reward their employees, when most of the time that person denying said “luxury” wouldn’t even step up and fill your role if they absolutely had to. Don’t tell me what I do is so minimal if you won’t even do it.
From my own experience working in various companies, I've observed that employee turnover often stems from a lack of appreciation and respect; it's not just about salary but about feeling valued. Many employers avoid fully acknowledging the importance of each role, leading to frustration among staff who feel their efforts are minimized despite shouldering critical responsibilities. I've noticed that when management fails to listen or reward consistently, employees tend to disengage or leave, creating a cycle where new hires must be trained repeatedly. Moreover, the attitude where employers dismiss employees' roles as 'minimal' without attempting to understand the job's challenges causes resentment. Often, those in leadership positions have not faced the day-to-day duties themselves, making it easier to undervalue the work. Personally, I've seen teams become demoralized when such dynamics persist, lowering productivity and increasing burnout. The ideal approach is creating a workplace culture that respects and rewards employees meaningfully, encouraging them to step up voluntarily rather than out of obligation. This cultural shift not only reduces turnover but fosters loyalty, better morale, and ultimately, stronger business performance. Taking the time to genuinely listen to employees, recognizing their contributions, and offering growth opportunities can transform the work environment into one where people want to contribute and stay long term.
