If you’ve followed from the get go, you’d know why my business has the name it does.
Channeled via meditation, it was a period of my life I was working on loving my reflection.
Self-hate ruled my perception, ‘till one day like a switch the neuroplasticity I’d been working on came to.
I started meditating daily for an 8 week program and I never stopped.
The nervous system regulation.
The perception shifts.
The self-love.
It’s all within.
Now to say I loved these photos?
Not exactly. I even said “eww no”.
What did I see?
A bad angle.

The path to genuine self-love can be transformative, just like the author's experience of daily meditation and nervous system regulation that helped rewire negative thought patterns. Neuroplasticity—the brain's ability to change and adapt—plays a crucial role in this transformation, enabling new perceptions and healthier emotional responses to emerge over time.
Self-love is not about vanity or perfection; it is about kindness and acceptance for where you are right now, both inside and out. The author candidly shares common insecurities such as aging signs, past habits like smoking that affected her teeth, and self-critical thoughts about appearance. Yet, through compassion and embracing imperfection, a powerful shift occurred. Instead of rejecting photos that showed these real aspects of herself, she chose to 'Embrace the Face'—an important metaphor for accepting the true self.
This mindset encourages us all to pause and reflect on how we view ourselves and to challenge the harsh judgments we may hold. Meditation offers a practical tool for this, helping regulate the nervous system and reduce stress responses linked to negative self-perception. Over weeks of consistent practice, it is possible to cultivate a deeper connection with oneself and foster self-love.
By sharing her story openly, the author invites readers to consider their own relationship with self-image and the impact of daily practices that promote compassion. Whether it’s through meditation, affirmations, or simply choosing to view ourselves with more empathy, we can all benefit from embracing our authentic faces and stories.
Ultimately, self-love is a journey, often requiring patience and dedication, but it leads to emotional freedom and a richer, more fulfilling life experience. This article serves as a beautiful reminder that self-love is foundational to living authentically and healing from within.
