Black Petals In A Pink Flower

I can’t even put in words how I feel.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Maturing through the pains of my childlike fears.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Never getting the space to grasp this new space while my old state trauma spills.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Committed to the aspiration of healing still.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

No one told me how much dying to my flesh would kill.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Stuck between Faith and Distrust and Distrust and Fear.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Wanting your touch but hating your finger tips. It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Dining at a table of “I love you’s” and counting the cost of this bill.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

Living in a body that embodies resentment is real.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

No one to talk to without the “talk to” being discussed to the next few.

It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

But the Pink is the Healing And the Black is erasing. And every hardship and loss is birthing a prevailing.

I can’t control God’s intentions or His placement…Nor timing.

It’s my job to water the plant and whatever dies off He’ll replace it…

With Joy

With Peace

Forgiveness

and Love.

Love never said it wouldn’t encounter what’s rough.

Loves seals a guarantee of blooming when it’s tough.

…..It’s like Black Petals in a Pink Flower.

... Read moreYou know, when I first started writing about 'Black Petals in a Pink Flower,' it was purely a metaphor for the deep, complex emotions I was navigating. But after seeing how many of you resonate with this image, I realized there's so much more to explore about what these contrasting colors mean in our healing journeys. For me, the 'pink' represents that gentle, hopeful, loving space we strive for, the healing and the new beginnings. The 'black' isn't negative, it's the shadows, the pains, the old traumas, the hard truths we have to face to truly grow. It’s the raw, unfiltered reality of maturing through childlike fears, as I mentioned in my poem. It got me thinking about how we find beauty in these stark contrasts, not just in life, but even in art. I'm not an artist by trade – 'Knowing I can't draw but idc. If it's in my heart to do... I'm doing it,' is exactly my mantra! But I've found so much peace in expressing these feelings creatively. Imagine painting a 'pink black flower' with watercolor. The way the vibrant pink blends, or starkly contrasts, with a deep black – it visually represents that journey of healing. It shows that even when things feel dark, the beauty and hope of healing (the pink) can still emerge, and sometimes, the darkness even highlights the beauty. This process of creating, even just for myself, has been incredibly cathartic. It’s my own 'artPOP!' moment, a way to externalize what's happening inside. When you're dealing with those 'black petals' – the resentment, the distrust, the feeling of being stuck – it's crucial to remember that these are not permanent. Just like a flower needs both sunlight and shadow to grow, our souls often need to process pain to fully bloom. One thing that has helped me immensely is finding small ways to 'water the plant,' as I said. For me, that looks like intentional moments of quiet reflection, journaling, or even just sitting with my emotions without judgment. It’s about acknowledging the pain, not pushing it away, and then actively seeking out what brings joy and peace. It’s a continuous commitment to the aspiration of healing. We're often told healing is a linear path, but my experience is more like a winding garden path, with some 'black petals' appearing even after periods of vibrant 'pink.' What I've learned is that every hardship, every loss, is truly birthing a prevailing spirit within us. It’s about cultivating that inner garden with patience and self-compassion. So, if you're navigating your own 'black petals in a pink flower' moment, know that you're not alone. Embrace the contrasts, find your own creative outlets, and trust that 'Love seals a guarantee of blooming when it’s tough.' Keep watering your plant, and watch as joy, peace, forgiveness, and love blossom in their own beautiful way.
