Honestly? I loved this read! It had action, tension, a sexy man, and a badass female character that you just fall in love with. It also had some trauma and brokenness that connects well with all people, but I didn’t find it bad enough for a trigger warning.
It’s a romantasy that I think should be added to most fantasy lovers shelves. If you enjoyed Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas, you would definitely enjoy this book.
There isn’t much naughty content in this book. It’s a pretty slow burn romance, enemies to lovers, type book. Perfect for young adult/teenager readers. I picked it up as a good palette cleanser even though it does depict a lot of blood and war, but that’s never bothered me. While there isn’t a lot of smut, you do get really good tension that I thoroughly enjoyed. It also ends on a massive cliffhanger and I see potential for more intimacy in future books! The next book doesn’t come out until September 12th. So it’s a pretty new series but one that I’m looking forward to continuing.
