... Read moreI remember staring at the vast blue sky, feeling utterly helpless and impatient. I had so many plans, so many 'when will it happen?' moments swirling in my mind. Like many of you, I've had seasons where I felt God’s timing was just… off. My original post was short, but that feeling of knowing God is with us, even when it doesn't feel like it, is so real. For a long time, I struggled to truly internalize that 'Gods Timing is always on time.' It's easy to say, but much harder to live when you're in the thick of uncertainty. One particular season, I felt like I was standing by a weeping willow, its branches gracefully swaying without a care, while I was frantically trying to control every aspect of my life. The path ahead seemed completely unclear, and I was desperate for answers, for movement, for anything to happen. I prayed, I worried, I tried to force situations into existence, thinking I knew best. But nothing happened on my timeline. The more I pushed, the more frustrated and anxious I became. It was during that period of intense waiting that I started to truly understand what faith meant. It wasn't about God delivering exactly when and how I wanted, but about trusting His wisdom and love, even when the wait felt endless. I began to realize that His 'no' or 'not yet' wasn't a rejection, but often protection or preparation for something even better. It’s like He's painting a masterpiece, and I'm just seeing one brushstroke at a time. Trying to rush the artist only risks ruining the art. So, how do you cultivate this trust when your heart is aching for answers and your mind is racing with doubts? For me, it started with daily surrender. Every morning, I would literally whisper, 'God, I trust Your timing with [specific concern].' It felt awkward at first, almost like I was lying to myself, but consistency changed everything. I also found immense comfort in nature – observing the seasons, the way a tree grows slowly but surely, reminded me of divine patience and perfect cycles. Walking along a quiet path, just observing the calm around me, helped me ground myself and regain perspective. Another game-changer was journaling. I'd write down my fears and then, almost immediately after, write down verses or affirmations about God's faithfulness and perfect timing. Seeing my doubts on paper, then consciously counteracting them with truth, was incredibly powerful. It helped me recognize anxious thoughts and gently redirect them towards trust. I also learned to reframe 'waiting' as 'preparation.' What if this pause is actually for my growth, teaching me patience and resilience? What if God is working behind the scenes, lining up pieces I can't even see yet? This shift in perspective brought a profound sense of peace. The anxiety didn't disappear overnight, but it lessened considerably. I stopped feeling like I was fighting against the current and started to float with it. If you're in a season of waiting right now, please remember that you're not alone. It's okay to feel impatient, but don't let it steal your peace. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep an open heart. God is always working, even when it feels like nothing is happening. His timing isn't just 'on time'; it's perfect, tailored specifically for you. And when it finally unfolds, you’ll look back and see the beautiful wisdom in His delay.
