Steal My Spreads 🥰

... Read moreJournaling and scrapbooking are wonderful ways to express creativity and preserve memories uniquely. Whether you are a seasoned artist or a beginner exploring art journals or junk journals, finding inspiration from others’ spreads can spark new ideas and motivate your projects. Artful journal spreads often combine elements like handwritten notes, sketches, collages, and decorative stickers to tell personal stories or reflect a mood. Junk journals add a vintage or eclectic touch by using recycled materials such as old papers, postcards, and fabric scraps for a tactile and visually intriguing effect. If you’re interested in creating your own journal spreads, try setting a theme for each page or spread to guide your creativity. It could be a daily diary entry, a bucket list, gratitude log, or a mood tracker. Using color palettes that reflect your emotions or the season can also enhance the aesthetic appeal. For scrapbooking enthusiasts, mixing textures such as washi tape, stamps, pressed flowers, and layered papers can add depth and interest. Don’t hesitate to incorporate mixed media techniques like watercolor washes, acrylic paint, or ink stamping to personalize your creations further. Remember that journaling and scrapbooking are highly personal, so borrowing ideas from favorite spreads is just the starting point. Feel free to tweak or reinvent these concepts to make your art uniquely yours. Sharing your spreads in communities focused on #journaling, #journalinspo, #junkjournal, #scrapbook, and #art can connect you with like-minded creatives who inspire and encourage each other. Embracing imperfection and the joy of creativity is key; there are no rules, only opportunities to express yourself vividly through your journal or scrapbook. Happy creating!

Girl I’m waiting on the sticker book…. Too cute. We don’t have enough of us representing us. I’m trying to find a book maker who makes actual Junk Journal because that’s where it really starts with repurposing paper and even books. It’s unfortunate that I haven’t found anyone current making and selling Junk Journals on Etsy but a few have committed to creating some at my request. Girl now I’m considering learning how to make the book. I’m certain our African ancestors had a form of memory keeping. Looking forward to seeing more from you!!!
