My skincare lineup: The good bad and the ugly
In order:
Cleanser:
Truly’s glass skin cleansing balm
👍Pros: great for removing makeup, and it really gets your skin clean.
🤔Cons: can make your skin feel oily/ sticky, so I recommend using a water based cleanser (I use cervae) with this product.
Serums:
Truly’s glazed donut and glass skin facial serums
- if I had to pick a favorite, it’s the glass skin serum
- glazed donut is awesome if you have random extra dryness, which I occasionally get
- I only put serums on before bed
Moisturizer:
Truly’s Glazed donut facial glow cream
👍Pros: LITERALLY the best product ever, out of the whole line up. So great for your skin, and is my go to product.
Sunscreen:
Centella Hyalu-cica water fit sun serum
👍Pros: Will not let UV rays in, packaging is a 10/10 and it allows me to use the product easier than other sunscreens.
🤔Cons: can be difficult to blend in, since this is a thicker product
💰Price: All the truly products pictured here were purchased in a set for $139.
The sunscreen is around $19
*For background*
I have oily to normal skin, with seasonal dryness. My skin is somewhat acne prone, mostly with small under the skin pimples. The first picture is no makeup, right after my skin care routine (with color editing for aesthetic) and the last picture is a better picture of my results from this skincare routine (mascara and light blush only) mostly makeup free.
Skincare can often feel overwhelming, especially with so many products available on the market today. It's essential to tailor your skincare routine to your unique skin type and concerns. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, it may be beneficial to choose lightweight formulations that won't clog pores. Incorporating salicylic acid or tea tree oil in cleansers can help combat breakouts effectively. When considering moisturizers, opt for non-comedogenic formulas that hydrate without excess oil. Sunscreens, too, play a critical role in any skincare regimen, protecting against harmful UV rays that can exacerbate skin issues. Always remember the importance of patch testing new products, especially if you have sensitive skin. Following a simple routine with products that suit your skin type will pave the way for clear and healthy skin. Additionally, stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to enhance the skin's overall health. Regularly reviewing and adjusting your skincare routine based on seasonal changes is crucial as well. This ensures your skin gets the attention it needs, keeping dryness and other concerns at bay.
