Create an area that felt like a long embrace! Throw in some fairy lights, candles, or maybe get yourself a cute little indoor plant (trust me even that can change up your mood). Once all set up, trust me you are going to want to chill here. And when an aesthetic, motivating studying environment is the place youre working a lot, it attracts you to sit down and work on things easily. So, studying is like how to create a chill atmosphere at home. Install warm soft light instead of that harsh overhead stuff. Listen to a relaxing playlist (one with lo-fi or instrumentals 🎧), light a candle or diffuse some essential oils. If you're looking to chill out, lavender, eucalyptus or vanilla are absolute life-changers. The fact that studying is actually pleasant in this vibe shift.

It is a hack, because having such little ritual before studying Maybe it is pouring a cup of tea or coffee, lighting a candle, laying out your notebooks in specific fashion. Having this routine lets your brain know that it is crunch time every single time you do it return. For me, it was a hot light beverage and silencing my phone for all of the time. When I start that routine my brain is like, oh yeah this is go time.

Alright, this may be a little extra but cute stationary— it changes everything! Pastel highlighters, a cute little notebook or some aesthetic pens — having supplies you want to use makes studying feel less like a chore and more like an experience. And who does not like a cute pen? 🖊️ And let's be honest, if I'm going to spend hours jotting down notes I might as well want to look at them!
5. Reward Yourself with Snacks & Drinks 🍫☕
Well, studying is difficult enough on its own so you deserve a lil treat! Have a warm beverage close by (tea, coffee, hot chocolate—whatever your jam is) and some nibbles like fruit, nuts or even some chocolate if you’re up for it. Honestly I study sometimes just for the snacks breaks lol But in all seriousness — having a little something to look forward to will help you push through.
