My reading obsession.
Just finished The Surrogate Mother by Freida McFadden. ⭐️Overall rating: 9.5/10
It kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing throughout but I do think the ending could have had more. This is the third thriller I’ve picked up of hers and I’m continuing on to the next one I have picked out.
As an avid reader of psychological thrillers, I can genuinely say that Freida McFadden stands out for her ability to keep readers on the edge of their seats. The Surrogate Mother is a perfect example, combining suspense, unexpected twists, and well-developed characters that make the story immersive and hard to put down. One thing I appreciate about McFadden’s writing is her skillful pacing. Each chapter unravels new clues and situations that challenge my assumptions, which is a hallmark of great thrillers. Even when I thought I had guessed the ending, she managed to surprise me, although I agree that the conclusion could have been a little more expansive to fully satisfy my curiosity. Having read this as the third thriller by McFadden, I find a consistent quality and style that I enjoy, making me eager to continue exploring her other works. This journey has deepened my appreciation for contemporary thriller authors who can balance psychological depth with fast-paced narratives. If you’re someone who loves books that keep you guessing until the last page, I highly recommend giving Freida McFadden’s novels a try. Her writing not only entertains but also offers insight into complex characters and gripping scenarios. I look forward to sharing more thoughts as I continue to read her work.
