$500 Babysitting Gone Wrong

i almost didn’t take the job. The ad was weird no details, just: “Watch our son. $500 cash. Must follow instructions.” And the instructions were even weirder: don’t let him look into mirrors, don’t open the door for anyone.

I was broke, so I said yes. But from the second the parents left, things were off. Every mirror was gone or covered, the kid stared at me and said creepy things about “copies,” and people who sounded like his parents kept knocking on the door, begging me to let them in.

By the end of the night, I’d seen another version of the boy upstairs… and even my own reflection moving differently in the oven door. When midnight hit, the parents came home, handed me $500, and casually said, “He’s not our son.”

I bolted as soon as I could. When I got home, the bills in the envelope had my own face on them.
