3 FBI Body Language tricks to read anyone like a

Book. 📖🕵️‍♀️

Stop guessing if they are lying. Start knowing.

We communicate 7% with words and 93% with body language. If you only listen to what people say, you are missing the whole movie. 🎥

I studied behavioral psychology to protect myself. Now, I see things others miss.

Here are 3 "Micro-Expressions" to become a Human Lie Detector:

1️⃣ Watch the Feet (The Honest Body Part) The face can lie (Fake Smiles). The feet cannot.

* The Hack: In a group conversation, look at their feet. If they point at you, they are interested. If they point away, they are mentally gone. 🦶

2️⃣ The "Pacifying" Behaviors When the brain is under stress (lying), it needs to soothe itself.

* The Hack: Watch for neck touching, playing with jewelry, or rubbing legs immediately after a tough question. It’s a red flag. 🚩

3️⃣ The Silence Trap Liars hate silence. It makes them feel exposed.

* The Hack: If you suspect a lie, don't speak. Just look at them and wait. They will start talking nervously to fill the gap—and often reveal the truth. 🤐

The Takeaway: Observation is a superpower. Use it wisely.

Have you ever caught someone lying using these? 👇

Save this to practice on your next date/meeting! 📌

... Read moreBuilding on those initial tricks, I've found that the eyes are truly windows to the soul – and often, to deception or discomfort. The 'Eye-Blocking Reflex' is something I learned about early on, and it's surprisingly common. Have you ever noticed someone briefly covering their eyes, even just for a split second, when they hear something they dislike or want to mentally block out? It’s often an unconscious signal of disagreement or discomfort, like their brain is trying to literally shield itself from something unpleasant. It's not always a lie, but definitely a strong hint they're not fully on board or are feeling vulnerable. Similarly, subtle eye movements like rubbing eyes or rapid blinking can be huge tells. When I see someone rubbing their eyes after a question, especially if it feels like an unusual gesture, I often interpret it as a self-soothing mechanism, much like the neck touching or jewelry fiddling we discussed earlier. It could signal stress, fatigue, or even an attempt to buy time. And rapid blinking? That's another unconscious response to stress or mental discomfort. It's like their brain is working overtime, and their eyes are just trying to keep up. I've seen it often when people are trying to formulate a complex answer or, yes, even when they're stretching the truth. Beyond active deception, reading emotional withdrawal has been incredibly useful in my own interactions. It's not about catching a lie, but understanding someone's true engagement. When someone is emotionally withdrawn, their body language often becomes smaller, more contained. Think about slumped shoulders, crossing arms tightly across the chest, or even turning their body slightly away from the conversation – not quite pointing their feet away, but a whole-body shift. Their gaze might drift, or they might avoid eye contact more than usual. Sometimes, it's a subtle stiffness in their posture, as if they're holding themselves back. I've noticed this in meetings when someone silently disagrees but doesn't want to speak up, or in personal conversations when a topic makes someone uncomfortable and they just shut down internally. And on the flip side, understanding positive, confident body language can be just as insightful! Take a 'slow confident walk,' for example. It's not just about speed; it's about intentionality and presence. Someone walking with a relaxed, upright posture, making eye contact, and moving at a measured pace often exudes self-assurance. Their shoulders are back, head held high, and their movements are fluid, not rushed or jerky. It communicates a sense of being grounded and in control, which can be incredibly powerful. Ultimately, reading people isn't about memorizing a checklist; it's about 'cold reading' the situation by observing a cluster of signals and understanding the context. No single sign is definitive, but when you see several micro-expressions or behaviors align – the feet pointing away, combined with pacifying gestures, and then perhaps an 'eye-blocking' reflex – that's when you start putting together a much clearer picture of what's really going on. It’s like being a detective, piecing together clues to understand the full story, not just the words being spoken. It’s a skill that truly transforms how you navigate all your relationships, from dates to professional meetings.
