From my experience, one of the most important aspects of settling in is building genuine connections while avoiding negative social behaviors like bullying or exclusion. Sometimes, freshmen are overwhelmed with what to pack — not just clothes but essentials and even items to help them feel comfortable and connected. During my own early days at university, I noticed that while some students unintentionally annoy others due to their unfamiliarity with campus life, it’s important to approach each other with empathy and humor. It’s all part of the learning curve and experiencing college culture, especially in a lively place like Streamer University, where social dynamics can be intense yet rewarding. I also found that openly discussing feelings and fostering a supportive atmosphere can reduce feelings of isolation or being targeted. Humor, such as joking about who might be 'torturing' freshmen with pranks or teasing, often helps break the ice and build camaraderie rather than hostility. Overall, my advice to incoming students is to embrace the diversity of experiences and seek to contribute positively to the community. College is not just about academics but also about personal growth, understanding others, and creating memories that last a lifetime. Treating peers kindly, being mindful about social interactions, and sharing authentic moments can make a huge difference in the freshman journey and beyond.
