First Time making Color Changing Tea🧊🍵🧋

Picked up this new loose leaf tea infuser(which I’m obsessed with already), but wanted to make something really good for the first time using it. That’s when I remembered about the magical effects of Butterfly Pea Flowers Tea! As you brew it with hot water, it turns into a dreamy dark blue. But when mixed with lemon juice(I think because of the acidity), it turns into a potent magical purple/pink! This can be made as hot tea, but I thought a nice ice tea would be perfect!

When above light, as you can see it’s extremely vibrant!(it reminds me of the potions in shrek😂)

Let me know what loose leaf teas I should try next!🧊🍵

... Read moreI recently tried making Butterfly Pea Flower tea with my new loose leaf tea infuser, and the experience was truly magical. The deep blue hue that blossoms as you steep the flowers is visually stunning, and when you add lemon juice, the tea transforms into a vivid purple-pink, which always surprises guests and makes for a fun presentation. One trick I found helpful is to brew the tea strong enough to get that rich blue color, but not too long to avoid bitterness. For iced tea lovers, chilling the tea after brewing and then gently stirring in freshly squeezed lemon juice creates a refreshing beverage ideal for warm days. The color change happens so rapidly that it's like watching a natural potion come to life. I also experimented with adding a touch of honey for sweetness, which complements the floral notes without overpowering the tea's natural flavor. If you're interested in trying more loose leaf teas, I recommend exploring lavender or hibiscus tea which also offer unique colors and flavors. Butterfly Pea Flower tea is more than just a treat for your taste buds—it's a visual delight that brings a bit of magic into your daily tea ritual.
