Berries & Cream overnight oats 🍓✨

This recipe is so simple, quick & TASTYYY. Literally everything you could want for a sweet & mostly nutritious breakfast treat 🤭

Just 4 ingredients! Oats, berries, coffee creamer, milk. You could absolutely substitute the coffee creamer with any other sweetener (honey, maple syrup, etc) but I’ve always got this on hand, so why not use it 🤗

I make this the night before & the oats are always perfect by morning time! It just needs a few hours to soak up the liquid. The berries are thawed by then, too!

I bet this recipe could be blended to make a smoothie too 🤔

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen how simple these Berries & Cream Overnight Oats are, but let me tell you why they've become my absolute favorite breakfast! It's not just about the convenience of making them the night before; it's about that incredible creamy texture and burst of berry flavor every morning. I used to struggle with finding a quick yet satisfying breakfast, but this recipe changed everything for me. First off, getting that perfect creamy consistency is key. While the recipe uses coffee creamer (which I always have on hand, so why not!), you can definitely play around. Sometimes, for an even richer creaminess, I'll add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt or a spoonful of chia seeds – they absorb liquid beautifully and make the oats super thick and satisfying. The great thing about using a jar, as the OCR highlights, is that you can actually see the layers develop as you add your "quick oats," then "frozen berries" like blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. It's almost like a little edible art project! Speaking of berries, using frozen ones is a game-changer. Not only are they convenient, but as they thaw overnight, they release their juices, infusing the oats with even more delicious berry flavor. Plus, it helps keep the mixture cool and creamy. The OCR also mentions filling the jar with "sweet cream (or vanilla) coffee creamer" and then "milk." This combination really delivers that classic 'berries and cream' vibe. If you're looking for a dairy-free option, almond milk or oat milk works wonderfully, and there are plenty of plant-based creamers available too, allowing you to still enjoy a "SWEET & ARTIFICIALLY FLAVORED CREAMY Oats" experience. Don't be afraid to customize! While this 4-ingredient base is fantastic, I sometimes sprinkle in a pinch of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract for extra warmth. For a protein boost, a scoop of vegan or whey protein powder can be stirred in before chilling. And when it comes to toppings? A few crushed nuts, a drizzle of maple syrup, or even a sprinkle of granola right before eating can take it to the next level. I also find it super helpful to "put the lid on & shake the jar until it's all combined" – this ensures everything is evenly mixed for that perfect bite every time. This truly is a breakfast that tastes indulgent but fuels you for the day. It’s so practical for busy mornings; just grab it from the fridge and go! It’s amazing how simple steps, as seen in the OCR, like "Put in the fridge until morning," can lead to such a delicious and hearty meal. It really embodies the joy of starting your day with a "Grain delight." Give it a try, you won't regret it!
